I recently spent five nights at Hotel Derby and really enjoyed the location. It’s close to restaurants and has easy access to public transport. The room was clean and comfy, offering a nice outdoor terrace that was perfect for unwinding after a day out. However, the acoustics in the room were terrible. I could hear every little noise from the hallway and adjoining rooms. It made it hard to relax at times. The reception staff were friendly, but I did feel like they were a bit overwhelmed and sometimes missed addressing our requests timely. The breakfast selection was average and could use some variety too. All things considered, a solid stay but there's room for improvement.

The decor feels dated, furniture needs some serious updating, and there’s a noticeable absence of amenities—no tea/coffee machines or bathrobes in the rooms. Soundproofing isn't effective, allowing for disruptive noise from adjacent rooms and the outside. Breakfast options left a bit to be desired. a salad bar would’ve been a nice touch. To top it off, the pool isn't on-site but situated across the street, which complicates things.

I adored the charming decor featuring artworks by famous Catalan artists, making the hotel’s ambiance feel vibrant and culturally rich during my stay. The warm and inviting environment truly made it a lovely place to return to each day.

Ensure better soundproofing in the rooms.

My recent stay exceeded my expectations. The room was modern and well-appointed Compared to my last stay in barcelona, this hotel felt cute and comfortable.

our stay at derby was great! the staff were super helpful, especially when we needed our baggage. the wi-fi was reliable for our meeting back in the uk. we also loved relaxing by the pool after a busy day exploring. it was the perfect way to unwind!

The location was perfect for hitting up the local spots, and we even made time for Tibidabo Amusement Park, which was a highlight. The breakfast was solid with fresh options, and the staff was nice too!

One downside was the strange smell in the room. It felt a bit dated, and the elevator could definitely use an upgrade. Made it a bit awkward during check-in and check-out.

I had a fantastic stay, highlighted by the exceptionally friendly staff who went above and beyond to assist me. The breakfast buffet offered a great variety, and the pool area was a welcome retreat after long days of exploring. Highly recommend checking out the breakfast when you stay!

The room was clean and comfortable, but there were no coffee-making facilities, which was disappointing for a four-star setting. Noise from the street made it difficult to sleep, especially with a room facing the front. The reception staff were excellent, always ready to help, and the location was convenient for local restaurants and public transit options.
